My name is Chris Palko and I am the 18 year old owner of YoungBusinessOwner.com. I run both this website and a web/graphic design business local to me while majoring in computer programming. I have decided to create this site in order to provide young entrepreneurs, like myself, with the information they are looking for.

In my research and efforts of gathering the information needed to start my own business, I came across tons of useless info. I am sure that there are plenty of young business-minded people who have come across the same problem and inevitably gave up.

YoungBusinessOwner.com is my contribution to the young entrepreneur community in the essence of providing useful information to people that are in, or will be in, the position I was. I feel there is no need for others to have to go through the trouble that I did when trying to gain knowledge in owning their own business.

I will do my best to make every aspect of owning your own business as simple as possible (not saying that owning a business is simple). With my knowledge along with the help of the community, we can create an entire new generation of business owners armed with the knowledge they need and can actually use.

About the Site

YoungBusinessOwner.com was established in 2008 in order to provide aspiring entrepreneurs the information they are looking for without all the extras. The information provided on my site is not like other “business” sites. Other business sites talk of $100,000 business loans and leasing giant warehouses and office buildings. This kind of information is simply out of the question for the majority of those looking to start their own business. The information I will be providing is exactly what the young (and not so young) entrepreneur is looking for; simply how and where to get the appropriate licenses, low-cost start-ups, cost-effective advertising strategies, and much more.

YoungBusinessOwner.com is mainly aimed at the younger generation of aspiring entrepreneurs, those in their teens to college graduates, but the information will surely help anyone with the goal of owning their own business.

Future Plans for YoungBusinessOwner.com

I don’t even know where to start; I have numerous plans for the future of this site. One of which is adding a forum. Though users have the opportunity to post their comments below articles, I feel having an actual forum will lead to more interaction in the community. This is will lead to entrepreneurs helping other entrepreneurs in their business ventures.

Another idea is “Business Kits”. I will have a section where aspiring business owners may purchase a business kit for the business of their choice. These kits will contain all the necessary info and materials to get their business started. Of course, these kits will be carefully created individually according to the type of business being started.

The biggest plan I have for my site is the offering of scholarships. With the revenue generated from the site, I would like to give back to the community in the form of scholarships, or grants if you will, to those pursuing a degree in business or in a business related field.

There are many more ideas on my list which I will discuss in articles in the future, but these are just a few to give you a good idea of where I plan on going with YoungBusinessOwner.com.
